Frequently Asked Questions
There is no formal requirement where it regards residency on the island prior to being married. We suggest two days in advance prior to the wedding day, especially if you wish to meet your planner prior to the ceremony. (This is with the exception to Cruise ship passengers, who arrive on the same day of the ceremony).

Yes, the legality of your marriage will be binding worldwide, once you get back home, take the original and certified copy to our city records department. Please see: How to register my Destination Wedding back home
Yes, all original documents will be returned (4 to 5 business days after the ceremony) along with the English translation of the Marriage License. This is to facilitate the registration process of the marriage when the couples gets back to their country of residency where they are immediately required to submit a copy of the Marriage License to the Vital Statistic Office, request new Drivers License and Social Security Cards, and other important documentation to reflect the new status and last-name change.
